cracker Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 w" timestamp="1143831404"] anyone heard the jamo A310 before? how are they? i got quoted $399 for the set at SLS... the guy said 100w per chan but seach web seems to be only 50w or 70w... My experience from a decade ago....was jamo speakers are hard to drive. In the end, had to settle for MS to go with my amp. Not sure abt their current models.
SiriuslyCold Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 d[e]w - you shouldn't worry about the power handling - the more critical spec is impedance and sensitivity - if this is low sensitivity (below 87db/w/m) then youw ill need a more powerful amp to drive it. the A 320 is a satellite speaker, 88db/w/m and 6Ω i suppose the A 310 satellite is similar? if so, most receivers will be able to drive it easily. anyhow $399 for a 5.1 set sounds very reasonable, and Jamo is a well known brand. most importantly, did you like the sound? if you can't test it out, don't buy
