i bought my JVC Home theatre system in a set. Consist of matching dvdp, amp, sub and speakers.

Now all five speakers occasionally have "crackling" or "rustling" sound at the same time! The sound is sometimes so loud until i switch off everything, and power up again in 10 mins and the sound is gone. i suspect the amp is faulty.

Jus enquire at JVC and they mention i cannot buy a new JVC amp separately cos it only comes in a set. Now leave me no choice but to source for an amp of another brand.

Q: What should i look out for when buying another amp to match my speakers, dvdp, and sub? Like buying a new amp with same Ohm/Watts speaker output? and any other factors to consider?

Wow, so lam leow onela, I mean it looks quite a new design( BTW is it a digital amp) very slim and chio and all that.

I would suggest getting the Panny amps but they are not that easy to get also, I wonder if you can still get the xr30 at Hin Huat, but the design is a bit dated(and only 5.1) compared to the xr25 and 55, but it sounds great for its price.

Regards.
