This may sounds stupid.

The yamaha rx-v357 a/v receiver has FM/AM/Ground connectors. An AM loop antenna, an indoor FM antenna are included. The Am/Ground connector sit side by side as if they are some how related.

Since there is no AM radio programme in Sg, I don't think i need to connect the AM loop antenna, am i right? But how about the Ground connectors, should i just leave it un-connected?

As for the FM, i can either connect it using the included indoor FM radio or connect it to the FM socket on my HDB wall, am i right?

Advices plz.....

Made hell of a difference for me (sengkang area) after I bought a $5 antenna to connect to wall socket.

I don't  know of your model AVR but my 520 uses the same connector for  rg6 , used by astro(Mal. satt. dish/decoder). Just get that and a female/male( I forget which one) Rf plug, Belden 1694a , DIY cable and plug into your wall common/shared TV aerial ; splitter if neccesarry and you have got the best FM  in the house already, hehehe

Hey Louxy, i juz bought a Belden T-1530 antena cable wif d 2 ends - RF socket..........

What etnt says is true  ;D ... i'm now suckered to getting 1 set

Anyway... if you're still after a good antenna. (if the "good antenna cable" option fails)

2 solutions for you:

1. Magnum Dynalabs ST-2. (Using this indoors placed near a window and it rocks)

2. PX Antenna IA-300. Cheapo solution but it does its job marvellously. Available @ Sim Lim Tower for a meagre $25.
