Featured Replies

Dear Gurus

My old 29 inch CRT TV had finally call it a day & i intend to find a good replacement.

LCD TV panel is out of the question as i understand it cannot withstand long heavy duty usage

Pls help to advise

Which 34inch Flat Screen TV brand is reliable, &

PQ are good & are HDTV ready to accept coming digital transmission by Media Corp

Mainly watching TV broadcast via Starhub SCV & dvd movies over the weekend.

Heavy duty user averaging 12 hrs per day.

Understand Toshiba is no longer producing 34inch Flat Screen CRT TV. I am not sure about Panasonic.

Had Never use Panasonic before. Are they good & reliable.

Nowadays it is hard to find a Made in Japan model.

What about those  Slim Design 34 inch CRT ? Any new model launching in Singapore soon.?

Thank you & appreciate for your recommendations & advise.

I have a 29 inch Sony HZ29M65.

720p, 1080i, 480p input signal compatibility

There are 2 models HZ and HS. HS has memory card slot as well. Available in 34" flavor as well.

Native is actually ard 540p (everything else is rescaled).. but that's normal for CRTs.

Samsung has a pretty cheap 32" widescreen thin CRT. Cheap for the money, but the current model is only 1080i/50Hz. Didn't work with XBox 360/Momitsu etc. Have to wait for new model in late April/May for the one wif 1080i/60 compatibility.
