sas_aaron Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Hi bro, hope can help me out on this, cos dunno kanna get "chop carrot" again ;D 1) Decide to get a Good-Performace PJ Screen under $300 budget for my IF4805, for use in dark environment... I heard of Draper or Dalite or a brand start with "R" around this price range. Which one better? Also heard of grey or white screen too.. My desired screen is 60" by 60" (dun wan to get 70 by 70 due to space limitation) . I do need advice on Brand and Model, as well as Price and Where to Buy? 2) Wanna get customised Component Cables. Heard that Sim Lim Tower has a shop HLS (issit correct?) which can help me customized? Heard of customized combo of Belden & Canare... For Belden, i heard of 1694A and 1810A. which is better? For Canare, i not sure which model. Can recommend? Hmmm can tell me which model, price(per metre) for Belden & Canare? 3) Any of you guys who own IF4805 using a reliable 3rd-party ceiling bracket? can let me know where buy and how much? All help from you guys are greatly appreciated!!
Audio Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 I want to advise you on screen. If you are not sure wat toget and is on a budget, yourbest bet is to get a Matt White screen because it has a light gain of 1.0 and you will notrun into any issue with reduced intensity at different viewing angles. It is incidentially the cheapest screen you can get. My Dalie Mate White has lasted me for many year and I believe this is the best entry level screen. I hope to upgrade to a Stewart Firehawk screen soon. (Audio)

X-Men Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 how come you getting a 4:3, and not a 16:9 format screen, har? :)
mcmaranello Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 got my Remaco screen from Fastlogic @ Burlington Square for under $200. They also sell ceiling bracket ~ $120, think should be better than wall mounted where inverting the pj could be problem. If u r not familiar with drilling and mounting, better don't do it yourself. Fastlogic provides excellent service in this area. Enjoy man ;D
sas_aaron Posted March 20, 2006 Author Posted March 20, 2006 how come you getting a 4:3, and not a 16:9 format screen, har? :) how the 16:9 pull down screen look like? issit a regular 4:3 pull down with black borders at sides to make it 16:9? any photos? how much it cost for an entry level screen? i read about the remaco screen, and i came across this model: SAS-1810H (Format 16:9 ; with 4 sides black borders, top border 14" or 36cm) ----> 80" diagonal is it what u are talking about?

Good value for money cables. Been using them. Belden 1810A are speaker cables suitable for biwiring. Cost abt $5/m
