Bought this title from amazon. Having watched it, I must say the story is not really on Johnny Cash but on the loving relationship between his wife and himself. They were soul-mates. However, I'm quite puzzled why Reese witherspoon won the oscar. Her performance is nothin to shout abt.

The second disc on the specials is a let-down mainly cos it does not have actual footage of the man himself. The specials refer to scenes from the movie with a few static pics of Cash.

 

PQ= Excellent with very natural flesh tones and almost no EE. Blacks are deep. I'm very impressed

      with the overall PQ.

 

SQ= The bass is AGGRESSIVE in DTS!!  ;D Surprising esp for a movie abt country rock songs. The first few  minutes of the show will really make your sub work. During certain singing scenes, the bass can overwhelm the  center channel ;D   

its a must own DVD for me  ;D

This is the must have for those who love sense surround music with plenty of bass as mentioned by Muscular, and sonic sound reproduction plus clean natural picture resolution.

I am totally in agreement with Muscular27 & Gideon on the PQ and SQ...truly excellent!!!

 

All except for Resse Witherspoon....In my bias opinion, she deserved the Oscar, I love watching her act on this one....but then, I always have this thing for Resse Witherspoon since Legally Blond...  :)

It is actually another copy of the Feature disk ie Disk 1.

Think they had packed 2 pieces of Disk 1 into the case by mistake.  :o
