ckng Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Hi, Got 2 pairs of them for a DIY interconnect. Was in a rush so did not get LHS to do the termination. Can anyone share how to terminate using them? There's a solder point for the centre pin but not the ground/shield. Also, when I tried to plug the bare plug into a RCA socket, the ground sleeves gets pushed into the body and I can never get them to "cover" the RCA socket's body. This is supposed to be one of the Profi's feature but something is not quite right. Or am I missing something? Thanks in advance. Regards CK

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I have a pair of Neutrik proffi's with Klotz GY cables and I think the ground sleeves going in is the way the socket works..
ongus Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Hefraz is correct. ckng, you need to see the finished product b4 u know how to solder the cables and conect the Neutrik ProFi. So I suggest u take a look at a pair of finished cables or ask LHS to do it. But briefly there is a small u shape clearing on the ground plate for you to solder cable on.

I have the connectors with me, yeah, there's this small U shape opening on the plastic in front of the ground plane. Doesn't look like much space to solder. I hope that plastic bit is heat proof tho. :P Regards CK
Hefraz Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 The quality of soldering could make or break your investment.. if I were you I would ask Robert at LHS to do the job for me. :)
