Hi all,

I have a question on DVI cables. Generally, does quality of DVI cables matter much in picture quality? I see quite a significant difference in pricing between one 5m DVI to another. If the quality differs, does it differ significantly? I know quality may be relative to individuals but I'll rely on the expert opinions of you guys  ;D

Thanks!

Basically, since DVI siignal are digital, there shall be no issue.

But the longer the cable the loss in the signal can give problem with line and spot appearing randomly across the picture.  Sometimes, it can be as bad as losing the picture completely.

Hence, a good DVI or a HDMI cable will give lower signal loss and espceially the thicker cables, you can operate them with extended distance.

I occasionally see spots and lines on my SLS 10M cable but with a 8M Bettercables, the picture is perfect in every sense.....but it cost me 3 times more...  :)
