need recommendation for buying a preamp

hi people,

 

i've got myself a pair of aegis one and a carver professional pm-120 (60watt per channel)

 

any recommendations for preamp and cdp which will be suitable for these stuffs?

 

budget shouldnt too big as i'm only a student :P

 

second hand will do...

Do you hv a budget to start with? Anyway, you should be concentrating in your studies instead of spending money >:( >:( >:( :D ;D

Will be easier if you can tell us your budget..

 

Ever consider a CDP with variable output? This is probably not the ideal in sonic terms but in the long term you can save up for a proper preamp in the future...

hm..aloychan does have a point...

 

if i'm a student now.. i'd have better use of say, $1000. I think I'd get more satisfaction spending this $1000 on something other than hifi...

 

BUT on the other hand.......

by indulging in hifi.. it'd keep u at home and make your parents happy..hahahaha.. ok..donno how true this statement is :)

My mum def happier if I was play Cai Qin instead of going out to ciong! :P

Since looking for both pre-amp and cdp.... Should get a cdp with a variable output first.. as it can be used directly with the power amp. Who knows, u might be satisfied with the sound.. and save money on the pre-amp.. ;D
