Further information:

A Pair of Dynaco mono power amplifiers. These are 110v so it has a stepdown transformer for them but they will come with a pair of new 240v drop in Transformers from Dynakit. You just need a technician to swap them over and re-tune ect..

I just never got to getting this done. The 240v Transformers were almost $600  shipped here from the US due to weight so I think I have priced this well.

The amps work beautifully with its current setup with the 240v to 110v step down. It's just a bit ugly with the extra component.

The new Transformers have a few dings on the case from shipping but shouldn't affect function. You can get the techie to keep the old casing of the old transformer though when installing the new one which was what I wanted.

Anyway a little bit of work and it will look as well as it sounds. Fantastic.

Power output: 60 watts into 8Ω (mono)

Frequency response: 20Hz to 20kHz

Total harmonic distortion: 1%

Valve complement: 2 x KT88, 1 x 6AN8, 1 x GZ-34

That’s a very good price. Especially including the 240V power transformers in the price. I got one of these from Dynakit for my Dynaco ST70 and these are very well made, built like a tank and do not hum or buzz.

These amps appear to have an updated driver board, using two valves (instead of the single 6AN8). Would you happen to know where it’s from? I’ve seen a few driver board updates that are popular with the Mark IIIs but don’t recognise these. 🙂

They’re really classic amps with heaps of grunt anyway. Good luck with your sale!

Bought it off a gent locally several years ago so no idea of its origins prior. The gent who just picked it up said two valves is better than one! I took his work for it.

It's now sold.
