Recommended Posts

It actually work pretty good at the corner lol . I can hear improvement. Because my room was really bad.

how good is it , I’m not sure as I haven’t compare it to some expensive panel .... yet. this really my first one before moving to something expensive.

Consider $195 and I can use it to block stairway to do vape without kid seeing as well ;)

I reckon you could attach a thick acoustic batt to the rear of these and make quite an effective and convenient absorber. Could possibly be spray painted too?

I think the idea of an absorbent batt on the rear is good, but paint will act as a filler where small porous holes are concerned wouldn't it?.

Still fairly costly if you're looking at 4-6 panels for a largish room.

It would b handy to know its effectiveness n what the test results were: "This screen has been tested for sound absorption set forth in the following standards: ISO 354 and ISO 20189"

I'd hope its not just the same stuff used in the acoustic pinboards you can get at Bunnings cause its roughly 1/10 the cost

Here

Saying that i might grab a few for the shared home office space, coming into tax time n all

I have traditional Korean byungpoong (partition), which is well over more than 100 years old and was passed it down to from my grandparents like as shown in photo (from online). This partition really helps to reduce/absorb sound bouncing from the wall. It works a treat for me as this is placed opposite end of where speakers are placed . They are usually made out of rice papers if I am not wrong and this partition is great as decor too.

I found this pegboard from IKEA to be a decent diffuser. Sandwiched with egg carton foam absorber. It works really well improving stereo separation in my room. I did rew measurement before and after so definitely not just in my head
