I couldn't wait until Apple/Spotify sorted it out so switched to Tidal. Can you connect via your home network without the Chromecast? Can you Airplay to the Oppo? I previously used the Oppo Media Control App for tidal and that worked fine 90% of the time. However playstore removed that App so couldn't install it on the new phone. The only way to stream tidal now is via chromecast........but not even thats working.

I use the Tidal Connect on the phone App and cast via the "Speaker icon" on the top right in the tidal App. It connects for literally 1 second, then streaming connection is lost to the dongle, and i need to repeat the process of casting again for 20-30 attempts before it actually connects and maintains connection. However, once connected i can only maintain 15-20 minutes of playback before the casting connection is lost again, and i need to repeat the whole process of reconnecting again. Any one know how to remedy this issue and maintain casting connection? Thanks in advance. I suspect the problem could lie with your wifi router. Some devices are fussy with wifi settings like beamforming and band steering. Log into your router's administration and toggle some of the advanced wifi settings. It's a free fix if it works.

Kaynin Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 I've just started being charged an international transaction fee for Tidal. My bank is NAB and I use a debit card. Of course I can call the bank and ask them to refrain from the fee, they're always reasonable people to deal with... Anyone else come across this and found a solution? The only thing I can think of trying at the moment is switching to Paypal.
Kinsella Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 My last payment was on 20/10 and I do use PayPal. That payment was still at the normal rate of $12.99. I'll keep an eye on this month's payment. 1

I'll keep an eye on this month's payment. Yeah that would be great, thanks. My bank statement showed $12.99 then another fee a day later for the international transaction bank fee. NAB say the "issue" is that it's a Norwegian company name - yet I was charged in AUD and paid in AUD, signed up in Australia...hmmm, I smell bulltish. Only happened this month, but by all accounts will now occur every month.
Darryl Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 My most recent payment on 14/11 was $12.99 via Paypal. 2
illusion Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 I checked mine for the last few months too, only $12.99 each month. You're not using a VPN are you?

illusion Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 Could well be, try looking into PP's settings, might be a clue there. 1
Kaynin Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 I've switched to Paypal, so see how that goes.
greggy Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Having problems with Tidal with failed playback and all my Tidal playlists are empty. Anyone else having similar issues.

All good this end, been listening for hours on end today and, well, all of December really. Sounds like a profile issue? Are you sure you're logged in with the profile that had your playlists?

greggy Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Definitely same accoun/ profile. Not working properly with same issues on all devices - phone, iPad, roon server. Payment up to date. Roon does not work on Tidal but fine with local files Surely a Tidal issue
greggy Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Some glitch as logged in and out of Tidal x3 and now working on all devices ????? 1

Hi Gregg, Tidal or HEOS failed for me yesterday as well, not sure which one it was, could not play though tidal connect, could not play Tidal via HEOS, tried rebooting everything to no evail. Lucky I have a trusty CD player. We had a bunch of friends over so did not have time to problem solve the issue.
teagle Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Stream Tidal wirelessly & this has been rock solid over the year but lately multiple dropouts or " network not connected'. Need to reboot each time, not sure what's going on.
