I've held off buying an Ultrasonic cleaner, especially due to the cost of some of them..

I have my Okki Nokki, but I need to finally do something about getting all my Vinyl cleaned with an Ultrasonic cleaner and the time has come.

Dare say I might have to buy one of these Humminguru, and give it a go.

Sam, I've been using one for many years.  Happy to give some advice on how I do it and with what machine.  What process and fluids etc..  I too have a Okki Nokki RCM and use it in concert with the US machine for big clean days.  70% of the time the RCM suffices.  In case it's not apparent, the US isn't what I use to clean just 1 record or album.  But other machines like the Humminguru may be more suitable to that approach.  Check the US freq on the machine and then on some others - it will give you an indication on how powerful it is as a US cleaner.

Yes. I have 2  reservoirs. I add a drop of Photo-Flo  to the first clean cycle then change reservoirs to distilled water only for a second cleaning and drying cycle.

sorry found it on the website

We cleaned a stack of new LP's and it works very well, also cleaned some older ones that were a bit noisy and it's definitely made a difference.

I bought a Humminguru this week, I cleaned six new LPs today, only used distilled water. I've ordered photo flo and I'll do another batch on coming weeks.

With water alone, I was impressed with the outcome. Apart from getting a good clean, the records have no static at all.

I'll use my Okki Nokki in conjunction with the HG when I need to clean second hand records.

I'll report back with the results.

Surfactant takes it to a whole new level.

I have just started using the Hummingbird US cleaning fluid in my ebay US cleaner and the improvement over Ilfotol - alcohol is huge. I will never go back. Worth the $50. At about 3 drops per litre it goes a long way.

Edit * I wash the record with distilled water afterwards as it seems to have a bit of a bright sheen to the sound. I might have added too much cleaner though.
