LWA Staff Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Further information: This PMA-1500R Integrated Amplifier from Denon is a surprisingly powerful and satisfying sounding component made in the late 90's. A solid unit at a hefty 14Kgs - It's surprise and delight feature from that era was what Denon called an "Ultra High Current (UHC) MOS" which we understand to be a type of amplification device used to boost the power supplied to the UHC single push-pull circuitry. It certainly does a decent job! There's RCA input sockets for Phono (MM or MC with switch), CD, Tuner and Aux, RCA Record/Playback sockets for 2 DAT/Tape Recorders , Pre-Out RCA sockets, gold-plated terminals for 2 pairs of loudspeakers or bi-wiring, a jack for headphones and 3 switched AC outlets. Rotary Bass and Treble tone controls, buttons for Loudness and Source Direct. Specifications: Power output: 70 watts per channel into 8ohms (stereo) Frequency response: 20Hz to 20kHz Total harmonic distortion: 0.01% Input sensitivity: 0.2mV (MC), 2.5mV (MM), 150mV (line) Signal to noise ratio: 76dB (MC), 91dB (MM), 110dB (line) Output: 150mV (line) Dimensions: 434 x 134 x 407mm Weight: 14kg 1
