Artnet Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Further information: Cyrus X200 Mono blocks, Pair in Black Drove firstly PMC Twenty C centre channel speaker and then some rear channels PMC Twenty 22, Lovely combination. Downsizing surround system to concentrate on 2 channel. Wont separate feel free to ask any questions. More detail below. Prefer Local buyer but will ship Australia wide Buyer to pay fees, can arrange courier. Mono X 200 The Mono X 200 is a significant advance from the previous generation Mono X and is based on the same core technology as the Mono X 300. This version offers the same advances in resolution, timing and soundstage, but with a power output of over 200 Watts into real world speaker loads. The second most powerful amplifier created by Cyrus Outputs over 200 Watts with outstanding control and dynamics Zero Feedback circuit design eliminates unnecessary circuit paths for wide open imaging and pitch black background noise Home automation control via RS232 and 12v Triggers for truly flexible installation options Includes music sense functionality for added convenience. Reference sound quality has been achieved through the last 7 years of product evolution and R&D research Zero Feedback technology offers some very attractive sonic benefits. Two key benefits of this technology are: 1. The design allows the key stages in our amplifier to work independently without the hindrance of global feedback. In a traditional amplifier the corrective actions necessary in the output stage to drive a loudspeaker are fed through the entire amplifier, disturbing unnecessarily the input and voltage amplifier stages. To put this another way, it allows the first stage of the amplifier to operate without the unwelcome influence of the latter, separate voltage and current stages. Zero Feedback amplifiers are only possible when one understands how to prevent distortion in the first place. They require very advanced circuit topology and close tolerance components. Like our SE CD players, we want to deliver the best performance at source as this is the place where we will most improve the sound. 2. Cyrus Zero Feedback amplifiers are able to create an uncanny sonic blackness onto which we paint our musical image. They can achieve this because as the output level reduces to lower levels, where the ear becomes most sensitive to these effects, the distortion produced by the new Mono X models falls below measurable limits. The result is an exceptional musical performance. Mani Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Wow these baby’s would drive my kantu Very well. Glws
Peter Sherriff Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Beautiful amplifiers indeed and a lovely match for PMC... sadly funds don't currently stretch to upgrading my existing Mono X (running PMC GB1i speakers) to these, otherwise I'd bite your arm off! I'm sure whoever ends up with these will be very happy with them. GLWS 1
Artnet Posted November 10, 2020 Author Posted November 10, 2020 Thanks for the nice comments they were overkill for my PMC twenty.22,s particularly on a rear channel (GB1i sounds interesting!). It is a good combination and was very happy with them but have found the need to move them on.
