Up for sale is a pair of Lenehan Audio ML2 References in Metallic Maserati Blue with matching AMG toppers and dedicated Lenehan Audio Stands

I am the first owner and these were built in 2014; the last time I spoke to Mike Lenehan (last year) he said that these were still the only pair of ML2 References ever to be built in this colour so they are truly unique.

The speakers are extremely heavy for their size (30kg approx - the steel lined cabinet), as are the stands (50kg - made from structural steel sections)

These are the "update" versions which incorporate the learnings from the ML2 Limited (most visibly the removable rear panel - apparently the crossover is so big in the "update" that the board couldn't go in through the speaker holes anymore).

The sound is very open and naturally detailed - the level of resolution is first class. The bass will surprise with its incredible extension for a stand mount, but this is also very clear and detailed. The soundstage is huge in width and depth with great focus on the performers. These speakers draw you into the music.

I spent two years looking a pair of speakers and tried the usual well reviewed commercial offerings (B&W, Dynaudio, etc etc), but found that these were a large step up in performance / realism, even against the Dynaudio C1 Platinum ($10K)

The difference the heavy stands make is clearly audible, and the toppers bring everything into a tighter focus (once heard you cant go back to listening without them)

The condition is very very good, although there are very slight (almost invisible - can't photograph) polishing marks when looking very closely but otherwise the speakers present as immaculate, and some paint damage on the underside (from bluetak on the stands) - this obviously can't be seen when the speakers are on the stands but I want to be completely truthful in my description. Please note that any "marks' visible in the photographs are actually reflections - the speakers present as immaculate.

All up these cost me $9,650 .
