HiFiMan HE400S vs Sennheiser HD600

Hi All, I currently have a pair of Sennheiser HD600 headphones, I love them, they are staying, I have the opportunity to buy a pair of HiFiMan HE400S, how would they compare to my Sennheiser HD600 ? I run them through my Schiit Modi 3, Schiit Magni 3 and a Schiit Loki equaliser, I will also soon be buying a Schiit Jotunheim with the onboard MB Dac. Thanks

Completely different sound - I've got both and found the HE sound to be much more open and detailed but the damn things are much heavier - I found the HE-500 to be a far better 'phon and upograding the leads makes quite a difference too - mind you, this is just my opinion on my system based around the Ayre Acoustic dac - quite a bit different to the Schiit gear

 

Google is your friend - there was a review between the  HE-400s and the Senn HD650s, I think, that'll give you some idea

Had a pair of the Hifiman and much preferred the Monoprice Monolinth M1060C..... The regular M1060 as well. As II understand it the new M1070 betters that as well though I've never heard it. I'm happy sticking with the 1060C.

There's so many different phones these days that I don't even try to keep up and some of the manufacturers seem to pump out new models every few months.

 

You might have some insight into this - when I 'click' on the link in the email notice, I end up with a website that's predomonantly blue colour and few of the links work - certainly can't add post answers - have you come across this before?
