Hi Lem,

Good Luck with the sale.....About 6 months too soon for my licking...I'm looking @ the Bel Canto Pre3 to replace my Arcam A32 + P35 2 channel set up as the Pre3 has the HT bypass feature so integration into a HT set-p is easier.

Very impressive review @ 6moons!!

Cheers

Hello Matt,

with the amount of interest shown for my monoblocks (lack of) there is a good chance they will still be here in six months.

i also own a bel canto pre3 and am more than happy with it. ht bypass is certainly a good feature to have.

regards

I own a Bel Canto Pre3 and Dac 2.5 both with HT bypass, you would be happy with either for 2ch music integrated into an HT system. If I didn't already own a couple of Bel Canto ref 500s I might be interested in the Ref 1000's !!! Shame your not selling Ref 1000s Mk II.

Good luck with the sale.

People are always surpised by my Ref 1000's. These are not just 'good for a D-class', they are just plain good.

You used to be able to upgrade the MkIs to MkIIs. Bel Canto supplied a base chassis with the upgraded input stage and power supply upgrades. All the local guys needed to do was transplant the old ASP1000 board from yr old box to the new one. The front panel and top cover is also nicked off the old box.

I couldn't afford the MkII either at that time. So I got a preowned MkI and upgraded when I could.
