sianbevans Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 I purchased the SONY Bravia KDL-40CX520 yesterday and have attempted to connect the TV to my Foxtel box. I was given instructions from my place of purchase to change the settings on my Foxtel to YUV before connecting to my new TV. Unfortunately, while I thought I was doing the right thing and followed this, I didn't SAVE the settings on the Foxtel box!!!! So I therefore connected my new TV without changing the settings. So now when connecting my TV to Foxtel using a SCART to Component (Red/Green/Blue plus Red/White for Audio), I have perfect audio but no picture, just a black screen. Is there anyway to fix this??? Any feedback would be appreciated.
Saxon Hall Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 You can fix it, however rather than me trying to explain it, have a look here.http://www.selbyacoustics.com.au/storefrontprofiles/DeluxeSFItemDetail.aspx?sid=1&sfid=74520&c=84125&i=249954786
proftournesol Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Whenever I have that problem, it's always been when the SCART plug isn't seated properly. Have you checked?
Telecine Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 I assume that you have a silver Pace Set Top Box from Foxtel? (the standard one). It has been a while since I had one connected to by Sony LCD (now have IQ2). I still have a Pace box in the bedroom. If I recall correctly, there is a combination of TV settings and Pace Set Tob Box settings required. Foxtel might be able to talk you through it.
wolster Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 There are some generous members here. A bloke asks for help in his first post on SNA. Help is provided on the same day. BUT - does the new member come back and say thanks? Nope. Can't be bothered.
