jg7890 Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 (edited) Item:400+Classical Vinyl Records -email twogreys@bigpond.com for comprehensive 15 page list Location: Bella Vista, Sydney Item Condition: All in excellent condition - many as new and some still factory sealed Reason For Selling: Not my genre so are excess to my needs Price: Range from $4.00 upwards Delivery Method : Pick up or postage at buyer's cost Payment Method: Cash on pick up, direct deposit or COD Extra Info: These records were purchased by a family member during the 1950 - 1966 period. He was more of a collector of records than a music lover, which would account for the reason that some records are still in an un-opened and sealed condition after nearly 50 years. Many others appear at least to my untrained eye to have never been played. They have always been stored in a safe and dry environment and have remained unplayed by me, since they came into my possession some 12 years ago. The terms of sale: Prices are as shown on the comprehensive listing 10% discount for lots of 10 or more records or purchases totalling over $100 Buy with confidence - if you don't like a record, just return it for a full refund, no questions asked You are welcome to inspect the records before purchase Vinyl : Rega Planar 2 with Elys cartridge Digital : Primare DVD30 universal player, Bryston BDA-1 DAC Amplifier : Musical Fidelity 3.2CR preamp, Bryston 4BSST power amp Speakers : Genesis 501 Cables : Digital - Acoustic Zen MC2 Analogue - Cardas Cross and XLO Signature 2 Speaker - Harmonic Technology Plus 9 All records now completely sold out. rotur Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Hello anybody there?? Emailed yesterday with requests, but no response. Has anyone had any follow up from the seller?
Rockford Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Yep I received about 3 messages last night. I have ordered about 20 records. Probably at work today and not able to respond. He was tinkering with the spreadsheet he had to make it a bit easier to work with (quite a lot of work has gone into cataloging them all).
Keith_W Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 rotur, I have been talking to him as well. Apparently response has been overwhelming and he has been flooded with orders. He needs to amend the spreadsheet with items which have been sold, put things aside, etc. I'm sure he will be back once he gets things back in order.
jg7890 Posted July 4, 2011 Author Posted July 4, 2011 Hi rotur, Yes, I am here. If I have missed your email I offer my apologies. Please email me and I will send you an updated list without delay. Regards, Jeff
Rockford Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Picked up my 20-odd records tonight from Jeff. Was in a bit of a rush so couldn't hang around, he has a very nice setup and it's obvious he cares about his gear. Can I just say it has been a pleasure to deal with him, he provided excellent directions to his lovely house. Upon getting home I picked a few random records and all are as described and in very good condition. Records from the 60's that look like they are brand new is extraordinary. As Molly says, do yourself a favour and snap these up, you won't find such well kept records too often.
Warren M. Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Thanks Jeff Can't ask for better service! Paid my money yesterday and received my records, excellently packed, by registered mail this morning! Shall be a fun weekend. Regards Warren
Keith_W Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Just a quick note. I received my records today. Played a few at random and they were as good as described. Thank you very much for the smooth transaction!
jg7890 Posted July 8, 2011 Author Posted July 8, 2011 No, certainly not too late. Although 160 were sold in the first 2 days, there are still 230 records available for sale. Of the 230 still available, 160 of these are imported pressings from Germany, USA, France, England, Holland and Italy. I still have 28 Deutsche Grammophon recordings all in excellent condition and 22 Archiv Produktion records in as new condition. Email me at twogreys@bigpond.com for comprehensive 15 page listing. hdo1 Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Hi all, The best s/h LPs I have ever bought. So many out-of-print LPs that I thought I could've never had managed to get hold of. Some of them is as old as 60 y.o. And they are more than playable. They are as pristine as "pristineness" can be, except those expected static noises. Jeff is very approachable hifi afficionado AND his hifi system is real decent with Genesis speakers driven and sourced by Bryston, Musical Fidelity gears. Thank you very much, Jeff AND Thank God that you don't like Classical Music otherwise.... H.
jg7890 Posted July 14, 2011 Author Posted July 14, 2011 Hello Hien, Very pleased that you are well satisfied with the records that you selected - I hope you enjoy listening to them. Regards, Jeff. A message to other StereoNet readers. I am in the process of cataloging the final batch of records and will list them over the weekend. These records consist of 2 complete sets of recordings by Haydn and Vivaldi. The Symphonies of Joseph Haydn consist of 16 individual records and the Vivaldi collection consists of 18 individual records. The condition of these 2 collections is so good that I can see no evidence of any of these records having ever been played before.
