Just renting for a few months till we buy a new house, so nothing at the moment. But I do plan on getting some classic posters/album covers on the wall. Not yet decided. Maybe this thread will have some good ideas!

I always recall Cheekyboy has music related posters behind his stereo. (from the pics I have seen)

Nothing arty going on around the stereo, but a poster of Elvis on the wall opposite.

Forgot the clock made from a 12" picture disk of Marillion's Kayleigh.

TT on one end of my TV unit, ukulele signed by Slash on the opposite end. In the strings of the ukulele I have a guitar pick from Powderfinger's last Wollongong concert and a Ben Harper guitar tone bar sitting below it.

If/when I get my own HT/music room I have a limited edition Ben Harper skate board deck and some rare coloured vinyl of some of my all time favourite albums I'd like to frame and hang up.

My turntable and phono preamp sit on a two-tier turntable shelf on the wall, with an oil painting of a quiet estuary section of Sydney Harbour at sunset, directly over it. Most of the rest of my hi fi is barely visible in a two shelf wooden furniture piece, and looks much more furniture than hi-fi. While I'm very proud of my hi-fi components, I'm much more interested in how they sound than how they look. With that in mind, I have changed my method of isolation a number of times. Currently I am making 8" long rolls of Mass Loaded Vinyl and Closed Cell Polypropylene Foam, which sit in pairs or threes under each piece of hi-fi, and, from my listening, seem to completely isolate each hi-fi component from the furniture piece and each other.

Good Doctor, this thread that you started is somewhat lacking without pics of your forementioned artwork.

I'm sure that there are many of us eager to view ;-)

Now that's better.

Love that painting, TT.

I wonder about the meaning of the handcuffs.

Escaping from a prison ship?

From the confines of the city?

BTW, your turntables look as awesome as ever and I notice that the King is still a strong favourite.

Cheers

Thx Wolster. Luv your wide angle pencil drawing.

Not sure about the true meaning, but always luved the album cover, so begged them to paint it sans the name of the album.

The king is not the king without reason :P

I have this album on the opposite wall, but with the picture taking the whole canvas

Hi Doc, I don't know if what I have is art, but I've tried to stick with a music theme in my front room and not necessarily revolving around a turntable either. Jake mentioned it earlier so here are a few pics of my back wall around my front room system.

And a few trinkets in the equipment cabinet too that I'll continue to add to...............

In the study system which is the snug one i've got a Gerald Coulson print as he did the cover to Mike Oldfield's Five Miles Out lp and this is the closest i can get to that, plus a poster from the US release of Van Morrison's Common One and a promo print of Genesis' Duke lp.

Ah, I got into a bit of strife over some comments I made a couple of years ago now when he 'shuffled off'............I'm not going there again mate!:) Suffice to say, I have nothing of his and if I find anything I'll be sure to get rid of it!:)
