niak_558 Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Hi Guys, I have just purchased a Panasonic TH-P50VT20A panel and have come across a very weird problem... the panel has 2 USB inputs on the side and today when I plugged in my flash drive to try and watch some avi files from my PC it woudln't play them. The tv is recognising the drive and allowing me to select the file i want to play but then it is all pixelated and jumps from frame to frame (like when you have a scratched or dirty dvd) This is where is gets really weird; I plugged the flash drive into my $500 32" TEAC LCD and it plays them fine! Very frustrating when i have just spent $1600 on this panasonic and it won't even play them... has anyone else come accross this problem before? Thanks in advance for your responses. Kain.
joz Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Unfortunately the Pana's VT's are a bit finnicky about which files they play. Perhaps try another type of file.
Mika75 Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 What type of file are u trying atm ? From a review it states: The TV also comes with two USB ports that can playback media files such as AVCHD, DivX HD, SD-Video, JPEG, MP3 and AAC, and can also record free-to-air content with the addition of a USB drive. You may have to use a program to convert the files.
MultiplexMan Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 I have this issue with my Panasonic plasma. Unfortunately Panasonic appear to be VERY particular re the format of any movie files. I found it especially frustrating that the plasma would not play movie files recorded with a Panasonic camera...:nana
