Sounds like all of you are happy with it,  it does look impressive, but unfortunately I  cannot see the value of $$$$ in it, way too expensive/overpriced for me.

It's the best and depends on how much you value your collection and time you spend cleaning it, once you buy the hurt goes away and you are left with a great component, I can't imagine life without it now it really is that good

The Mark II is well reviewed here. Maybe some 2nd hand or traded units will become available. I am very happy with the original, I like the results, but I don’t really have a desire currently to upgrade. Although I am sure many will!

I love this reviewer, he does great reviews and these are fantastic machines, I always do a minimum of 2 cycles, glad the Mark 2 was available when I got mine

Like all HiFi components, once you have it the hurt stops, always best to get it right first and I've drooled over LP cleaning machines for years hurting and thinking out of my reach, I got this one right though  and am very happy just because it works and it is so easy to use, looks great and no fuss, takes up bugger all space and it's always on standby ready and waiting, worth it's weight in gold if you ask me for us Vinyl heads, LP Records really do sound better and this machine stamps that authority!!

So I just upgraded to the latest software and think it somehow cleans even better than it did. Also liked the new features such as having the temp of the water displayed, the pre soak feature and how the fan is running more in a effort to cool the water.

Like the bluesman said buy once, cry once. If you have a sizable collection id highly recommend it as the two things i didn't skimp on are the Degritter & Orb vinyl flattener. For me this was a better investment than a fancy cart or phono stage but if you got the fun vouchers for all so much the better! .....one day perhaps.

Today I clocked up 2500 washing cycles.

My records sound wonderful because the Degritter does an amazing job of cleaning the groove.

From the beginning I have replaced the Pureau water after 25 washes, and replaced the foam filter and performed the quick Machine Maintenance every 50 cycles.

After 200 washes I follow Degritter’s recommended cleaning instructions, but use an 18mm artist’s brush to clean inside the external and internal tanks (a toothbrush for the fine steel mesh filter cylinder).

A record’s best friend is their Degritter (and Furutech Destat III).

Wow you have been busy cleaning LPs Steve, just upgraded the firmware on mine, I've only done 259 runs but will get back into it, how many times do you run an LP through a cycle, I first started with 2 cycles on heavy but after watching the Audiophile manI have increased that, so glad I got a Degritter and no regrets as these things are the best

In answer to your question Bluesman, I will listen carefully and then decide whether or not to repeat the process.

So, it varies from LP to LP depending on the severity of the encrusted material in the groove and its reluctance or willingness to let go.

My first record of the day in the cold water gets a heavy cycle to quickly bring up the water’s temperature to normal. Afterwards I use the medium setting and this keeps the temperature around the 28 to 30 mark.

About two months ago I obtained a Furutech Destat III. One intriguing observation that I have noticed is that treating the record with it prior to cleaning appears to audibly improve the result. (I also destat the plastic inner sleeve.) I am wondering if static is stubbornly holding particles to the vinyl, and when that static is removed the cleaning process is augmented. Some records I have purchased have had so much static that I have received a nasty shock from them.

Here is an informative video on YouTube that I came across recently.

Great post attunement, I found that YouTube test with the Destat 111 very interesting and I have learned something. your cleaning process makes a lot of sense, any recommendations where I can purchase a Destat 111 here in Australia, I'm keen to get one

I have just clocked up 4,000 cycles and all is well. A clean groove played with a clean stylus gives much pleasure.IMG_0941(Small).jpg.e5af6924abb140d830981b1d4771c9c9.jpg

My Degritter Mark II has now clocked up 7000 runs and continues to work perfectly. My LPs are a joy to listen to.
