So... I’ve noticed people can’t really grade records, to the point that I’ve had threatening emails after I’ve PMd someone that a NM record should not tick and pop like rice bubbles and may I please return it.

When I sell, I’d like to be able to play say 30 seconds of the worst a record I’m selling sounds, and 30 seconds of what it normally sounds (most records I sell would be graded NM by others, but they’re mostly VG+.

That way I can try to grade properly, or at least leave no doubt in a buyers mind if they disagree.

I have a PS Audio NuWave Phonoconverter, can I record HiRes from USB to the iPhone on GarageBand? Phonostage outputs up to 24/192 (which I use for Dirac on my streamer).

Alternatively... is there a free/cheap OSX program I can use (GarageBand?)? I’ve seen pure vinyl, but I can’t justify the price (if I was digitising a collection I’d be all over it - I just wont use its big features). I would strongly prefer to use my phone if possible.

Yepp this is why I gave up on Discogs.   At least with ebay the refund and resolution process is much easier to work with.
