Which DAC should I get?

The RME DAC is an amazing bit of kit. I'm trying to convince myself that I need one - mainly for the "non-DAC" features that it also boasts. The dynamic loudness contours, the EQ settings and the fact that it can act as a preamp too (for digital sources).

I can't comment on the Giesler as I have no experience of it

If you are attracted to the additional bells and whistles of a DAC which costs 50% more, then it is the RME.  Otherwise, save some money and get the Klein 3 which is backed up by superior customer service.

I can get the RME for the same price as the Klein 3 with the power supply.

If you want the bells and whistles, then get RME.  Otherwise, the Klein 3 will not let you down for good sound quality.

Unfortunately, no one on forum has compared any Gieseler with a RME.

Gieseler DACs are liked by many here and Clay provides good customer service.

I see Klien 3 with power supply at $945. I can't see the RME for anywhere near that price. Do you have a link?

Just bought a RME ADI DAC FS. Should be arriving next week. Looking forward to having a listen and trying to work out it's settings ?
