Guest Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Not specifically Hifi, but a sad end to a long term establishment in the Perth music scene:- https://thewest.com.au/business/retail/osborne-parks-kosmic-sound-music-store-closes-after-more-than-half-a-century-in-business-ng-b881454198z.amp Mods feel free to move to a relevant forum.
wolster Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 That's really sad. Just enjoyed going in there. Bought active speakers there. Heard live music there.
thejt Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 i bought a guitar amp from them waaaay back. The retail scene in Perth seems to have tanked of late across the board.

colinm1 Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Yes John is a legend in the perth ,w.a. music industry, started making speaker boxes, for guitars and basses,in his mother’s garage!, when sales went mad moved to larger place! the rest is history
Googaliser Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 Very sad - quite a bit of competition in the Perth retail space though
Jock M"Cormaig Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Saddens me to see they close doors, had a lot of friendly help when we were setting up the sounds system for the churches, hope to meet up with my many friends again. Blessings Jock and the fellowship of the churches.
turnthetable Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Devastating news Have bought amps, guitars, and stuff from them in the past but must admit I haven't spent any major money with them in the last couple of years (I haven't spent major money anywhere in the last two years). Just strings and picks giving me the excuse to perv on the guitars way outside my budget
