I recently purchased a CEC TL51X CD Transport from SNA but it did not come with a remote. Given that CEC use Sanyo mech's is it possible that a remote control for a Sanyo CD player will work? I know that sounds a bit silly but CD players with philips mech's seem to have a common remote control scheme. Marantz, Philips and Krell remotes all work with philips based spinners.

I own a CEC TL1 and a CEC TLO  and when I had them serviced TEAC were the designated service company. They actually stocked parts for the units (Perth)- I have always understood that the link was TEAC and CEC. However this was a few years ago. I don't think CEC and Sanyo are related, but not certain things may have changed.

Fair enough. Every CEC player has a Sanyo mech so maybe they are somehow related?
