1940’s dual Black plate matched pair RCA 2A3 that I bought a few years ago.  I have never used them not even plug into an amp.

Testing etc from the original listing that should be applicable:

“WWII production RCA Victor 2A3 power triode amplifier tubes.    These are NOS military grade versions of the 2A3 and the boxes are not original.

They have dark black plates, dual [] or "D" getters for longer life, hanging filaments for low noise potential, large round matching top and bottom mica spacers, and a long center support rod extending the entire length of the tube elements.

Both tubes have the RCA "sign" with 2A3 stamped into the glass.  Each tube is also base labeled with the iconic RCA logo.

One Tube 1, has the U. S. military inventory code of VT-95 on the base.

The other Tube has a portion of the RCA military corporate code CRC  on the base along with "2A3".  Just above this labeling, some original military description has been ground off.

These tubes were tested for mutual/transconductance (Gm), plate current, gas, noise, and shorts on Dan Nelson calibrated TV-7/U tube tester using a digital meter upgrade for greater accuracy.

The TV-7/U minimum recommended value (65%) for the 2A3 tube is 38 (Gm=1900)

As pictured left to right with TV-7/U test results, Gm, plate current and date codes/dates:

TV-7/U      Gm      Plate Current    Production code/date

1.    74        3700          35 mA            S3    May-Jun 1942

2.    71        3550          36 mA            K1E  Jan-Feb 1943. “
