A photo of the drivers would be helpful to see what the condition is,  pity that you can’t post, I don’t really need the stands,  just the speakers  would be great

The BC1 has non-removable grilles.

The only way to get to the drivers is from the rear to remove them (and that's a bit of a chore).

you have some nice equipment there in the background.......harbeth speakers and leben amplifiers! how does the BC-1 compare to the 7ES3?

BC1 grilles are removable, but depending on their vintage and how long it's been since they were last removed it can be very difficult. If memory serves these would be a late 70s build with velcro tabs holding the grilles and blue alnico drivers

Hi

i couldn’t remove the grills and I don’t want to damage it.

i do really like both harbeth and Spendor.

Spendor is a little darker, bassier, mellower and more texture than Harbeth.

Particularly, when playing strings, I do prefer Spendor.

I have a very small office room (2.5m x 3.8m) and a little brighter and less bass sound is more suitable for me. That is the main reason to choose Harbeth and more importantly, I do like the look of Harbeth.

Spendor sounds really well with my Dared 805 valve amp. I have paired with naim 72/140, quad 33/303, Leben cs600 and Dared 805 is the best matching amp for Spendor BC1.

Depending of the vintage I should have said.

Earlier models I believe did have non-removable griles.
