Hi all,

I know it's an old topic and dual center speakers (side by side) normally will have a detrimental effect. Yet my thought is a bit different, since my projector screen is almost occupy most of the wall space, now I place the center speaker on the floor. So to 'elevate' the center sound stage, I'm thinking of placing 2 identical speakers one on the floor and one on the ceiling.

With such >2 meters distance, I suppose 'detrimental' effect will be minimum? Anyone has tested this setup and any thoughts are welcome.

In such way, I can actually buy a pair of bookshelf speakers and place one top/one bottom (both horizontally) which is a bit easier to find 2 used identical center speakers.

Cheers

posted it too early, found following post with many interesting discussions. I think I'll try this setup as my screen size is 175 inches that place the center on the floor is a big no no.

Thanks, yes. Just finished the other post and the one who opened the post didn't end up put any outcome eventually maybe he can not get the connection working with 1 AV receiver.

I will try for sure, maybe in 3 weeks time when I have speakers ready.
