81Vintage Posted January 5, 2020 Author Posted January 5, 2020 (edited) Thanks! I would say more like RP10 in terms of subplatter/bearing/motor/platter performance but with the audiomods arm exceeding ANY stock rega arm. Also, after comparing a stock RP10 in my system - I am just not sold on the foam/magnesium low mass sandwhich plinth. A light tap on the exposed right front corner and listening to noise transmitted through the arm compared to the heavy weight billet plinth is vastly different and much higher in the frequency bracket. I have played around with composites previously as I love carbon fibre... we made a foam core sandwich with carbon which was super light weight and super strong, but just didnt work for a plynth. Ended up making great kitchen splashbacks though Edited January 6, 2020 by 81Vintage SPELLING! 2
