I generally just store my newly bought vinyl on top of a couple of 2 x 4 Ikea Kallax and in the below top shelf.    The just bought ones are generally on top for easier access in 3 piles against the wall and another 4 blank to put records that are being played lying flat.

I have always wanted a record store type box so it's easier to flick through the records without them falling forward off the Kallax and using you gut as a wall.:)

I stumbled across this record box @ DJ city - German company called Glorious - made in China. $49.   I picked one up today and put it together.   It is very strong and works a treat.     I have ordered another 3 so will have 4 in a row.     They also comes in white.

very happy and quite cheap.

Nice one. Must see if they are available in NZ.

I used to just put a Kallax type box facing up for a record store type experience.

Cliff, they are available on ebay, so I am sure you can get them into NZ.

First time ever I can flick the records forward without the danger of them falling over :)

Postage and 15% GST doubles the cost if bought from ebay!

Found a store only about 3 kms away that sells them

I was looking at bringing them in from a (different) wholesaler in Germany with a view to onselling to retail, but stupid pricing by the time they land forced me to reconsider.

Metal Beat, are you in danger of filling up the top shelf such that a bigger IKEA Kallax is required? Then those great little boxes will be getting higher.

I've just invaded my sons room for excess record storage (and now excess stereo system). I am relieved, as I was getting a bit peaky, having filled up my storage in the living room. Now I can relax for a while.

I store my recent vinyl purchases (or to be cleaned vinyl) in this case that was a birthday present.

Great looking set-up @metal beat! How many LPs can you fit in one of them?

In the advertising,  it says 110.  They would have to be 110 12 inch singles. Lots of albums are now doubles.

I would say realistically 50-60 while still being able to flick thru them essily.

nice set up KRS.

no danger of that.  not a great fan of the Kallax, but two high + record box is where I want to be.    When I run out of room here I move any albums out of the music room to the real record storage at the back of the lounge room.

That made my morning, but has my wife worried about the future.

As an aside, do you record the vinyl on discord or other programme/system?

Cheers

LOL.   There is always someone crazier / less crazy than yourself.

99% on Discogs.     my daughters are looking forward me dropping dead so they can sell my vinyl for lots of $$ :)   Little do they know when that happens, vinyl may be worth a lot less.

Strict alphabetical with a section for soundtracks, various artists and classical .

You may notice some albums are pulled out in the main storage. This makes it easier when putting the records back.
