An heirloom piece, an amplifier that will outlive you, and be relevant as it is today in 10 years time. Its a special piece and something I've held off listing. Truth be told I'm happy to hang on to it (not a phrase I use often).

The Accuphase A70 is everything a class A Stereo Amplifier should be: Musical, resolving, PRAT for days. However it's also everything a class A amplifier shouldn't be - you won't be able to cook a full english on it, warm to touch, not hot. As is the way with Accuphase the quoted specs are under-rated. Some have suggested that you can double the numbers in the Accuphase literature.

I've loved this piece but as with all things. I'm looking at other options for my TAD CR-1's. The TAD's aren't the easiest speakers in the world for an amplifier to live with. This amplifier did it with aplomb. Nuanced, romatic, yet incredibly resolving.

This is a 230v iteration from Hong Kong.  Comes with all the factory packaging. I took delivery of the unit in late 2018.

No doubt the output figures of Accuphase amps are grossly understated. Not many amps can keep doubling the output as the impedance halves...right down to 1 ohm! If I didn't already have my eyes set on the mono-blocks...this would have been sold by now...to me :)

I meant to say I was looking to get the Accuphase mono-blocks...A200 or A250.

if you like tubes...you might like Accuphase amps too. They are among the least solid state sounding amps that I know...but without losing the advantages of solid state. Give them a listen if you can.
