I currently have the LG oled 55c7 and the new Samsung 65 Q900Rb 8k..., looking to upgrade...

The Samsung 8k tv I have had 2 faulty out of box and the 3rd is now giving me blooming and flickering issues again....

The 1st tv had issues with reflective coating was missing in top half of screen for a Tv that was originally $6990 Very poor with the amount of issues I have faced....

Samsung cannot even tell me if HDMI port 4 is 2.1 compatible....

It seems this tv is not what it is reported as being...

Samsung said it would upscale 4k content to 8k or close to it which is just marketing hype in my opinion...

I'm looking at  the sony A9g 65 and the qa75q80 Qled samsung...

What do people think is the best buy...

I can get the Qa75q80 for the same price as the sony A9g...

Any advice would be appreciated...

Photo is of 1st tv missing part of reflective coating....

I've never liked Samsung TVs, too problematic,.

SONY, LG then Panasonic in that order.

I cannot disagree I have been offered a credit for the 8k 65 samsung as its the 3rd one...

But tbh when working the panel does have a great picture quality....

So your saying the A9g 65 is your pick pond?

I just have some small concerns 1/ my son games so being an Oled slight risk of burn in? I've had small issue with my 55C7...

Also as you can see from picture the 8k works great in bright room....

I've heard the sony is very dim for an Oled panel?

Would be interesting to hear off A9G owners on the forum....

No 2.1 HDMI input on the sony....

And found out today it will not record via usb apparently.....

Other than that it's supposed to be a great panel....

The 8k samsung as shown does have a nice picture I've just been very unfortunate to have 3 bad ones....

They are prepared to replace it again with a sizeable discount i just don't know whether the Sony would be a better bet?

Cheers David tbh when working the 8k does have reasonably decent upscaling i just read that they are working on a scalenet codec which will enable true 8k processing....

Just don't know whether to get this Sony A9g they have offered it at a ridiculously low price as compensation or they  will replace the 8k tv and give me a sizeable discount....

I have read mixed reviews on the Sony just wish a couple on here may see the post and tell me what the Sony is like.....
