Extra Info:

I have the OAD Ultrafidelity  Power amp for sale, it’s the best power amp I’ve heard, it totally destroyed the already  gorgeous sounding 805 mono block open-enders they replaced, in every conceivable way this amp thrashed them, they also did the same to some very expensive 833 monos a friend of mine owned until I suggested he check the OAD out, his 25K 833’s now have a new home and he’s loving the replacement. This guy is a compulsive audio tinkerer and so damn hard to please in listening.

I have spoken to the designer on behalf of the purchasers peace of mind  he will be happy to give the buyer a new full manufacturer’s warranty from the day after the purchaser collects them. He also has spare silver panels if desired.

This gear is amazing, there’s plenty of guys that own this stuff around Melbourne that would be happy to show it off if you don’t feel like driving to Ballarat for a demonstration, I’m sure one request on this site would afford you many opportunities to listen to this really world class array of electronics, in fact I can easily arrange an appointment with an owner down there. If you listen and you like I can have the gear sent to the south eastern suburbs by car for pick up if that is more convenient, I have had bad dealings with freight companies and smashed valve amps, I don’t use them anymore.

haha you guys are evil!

I'm now trying to see what I can sell to afford this.

@Phill, will you be selling a matching pre-amp?

Also, would you ship to Tasmania or is this collection only?

As OAD are not updating the preamp anytime soon, i want to keep my OAD CP1 preamp. But they are planning an upgrade of the CP1 (in 2020) and only then will I definitely be selling the CP1.

Yes happy to ship to Tassie. You will want to include insurance as there is no guarantee that it will arrive undamaged in my opinion. Insurance is normally an extra of ~$70 in my experience.

Thanks for the reply Phill. I'm still seriously considering, will send you a PM if I do decide to buy.

Right now my only roadblock is that I need a preamp, check my Naim manual to see if the Naim Nait XS can be used as a preamp.

Why do you say that? Can you be more specific. IMO the preamp is extraordinary. 6 discrete shunt regulated power supplies, All discrete line stage, switched laser precision resistor attenuation located right at the signal input for no compromise in signal. Industrial quality touch display that will not wear out like typical preamps with switches and mechanical volume knobs.  They do sound exceptional together as i have done so since they became available 3-4 years ago.

I agree. I have, in the last month, got an OAD CP1 pre and UF1 power amp and think they sound magnificent. I haven't tried mixing the combo; it just works. Not sure what the comment about mismatch means.

Somebody is gonna get lucky here. These come up rarely, and with good reason. Unless wanton upgradeitis hits, these babies are life changers and end-game for many.

GLWTS mate.
