Buying  this pre amp pretty much skips the need for "tuning" your  system with high end cables.. once i used a pre like this i will not go back  withought  tone controls

 

And accuphase know exactly what they are doing  .

Accuphase tone controls are awesome for crappy recordings.  Also has an old style loudness feature.  Can’t think of any other modern pre that still has this..  This is a great amp.  

 

Note they also look great in the dark with the green logo and the vol display.
