What a beautiful beast! Those capacitors remind me of some sort of energy holding towers feeding the First Order machinery in Star Wars.

The 1404th unit made in May (1979) on production line 22 (used for 719's for most of 1979 and 1980). Lovely!

Thanks. I didn't need much volume to have the lovely Sansui sound. Those 90w x 2 sound way more than it seems.

Thanks. The AU-719 still holds up well after 40 yrs. Built to last a long time.

Great sounding amp.  Close to the AU-919 in sound but with less power. GLWTS.

Thanks. I have enjoyed my time with the AU-719, one would be hard pressed to find a similar amp for the money these days.

Oh yeah. You don't own Sansui's from this era, you just have them living in your home for a while before they move on. I still miss my '79 AU-X1.

Sorry - I get misty when I see those volume knobs and switch gear.

Tis true

I understand where your coming from. I'll look back with fond memories of my AU-719 and do hope it will go to a good home :-)
