John W. Harris Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 Has anyone had any good experience replacing the 4 preamp tubes 6n1 / 6hn1.
Guest Muon N' Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 The EV variant (6N1P-EV) has lowest lowest microphonics and longest life.
John W. Harris Posted December 5, 2019 Author Posted December 5, 2019 Hi I was able to get 4 6n1p-ev tubes from Ebay for my 10L. The up graded 10t uses 4 12at7, while the model 13s uses 2 12ax7b and 2 12au7's. If I tried using eather one of those two combos in the 10L it would be a major disaster rite.so has anyone tried the 6n1p-ev tubes in the yaqin mc-10 L if so any opinions.

Do not do it, they are not drop in replacements, the circuits are slightly different in those different models. Yes, I used the 6N1P-EV's in my Yaqin MC-10L when I had it, replacing the Chinese 6N1 tubes it came stock with.
