Not sure why this occurs, when the amp is powered on it goes away. I am the 2nd owner of the amp and the original owner stated the usb dac card would intermittently cut out but return after some 'wiggling'. I have never used the on board dac and I spent a couple of minutes trying to get it going but couldn't. This is something to take note of if you are after an integrated unit with dac. Original packaging and double box included Reason for selling: Changed set up.
