I had recently purchased a Elton John record and already clean it with ultrasonic bath but still play with a lot of noise. I try to use wood glue this time it does clean out most of the noise but the first track is still terrible.

Hmm, u might just try to get another copy. Is it a rare pressing? I had similar experience with a copy of Eagles Desperado. I gave up at the end and bought another one

Yes I think I have to get a better copy, it is not rare press anyway.

Try record revirginizer, I would never use wood glue...

If still noisy, time to get a better copy.

Thanks for the advice

Plenty of discussion in the past if you search SNA.

I prefer to use a product that is made for the records although some people say that glue does the same job but also some say no, I have never tried glue and I don't think I will ever use it although it is a cheaper option.

It is subjective but I don't recommend glue.

Just wondering as the glue and the record itself are basically the same material

Up to you mate. But I found record reviginizer works every time u use for super noisy records unless the record is damaged.

Usually find if you’ve cleaned the record and first track is stuffed then maybe from reckless owner and needle drop as usually the most often track played.
Buy another copy: job done

Wrong glue.....wood glue sticks too well. Revirginizer or Craft glue is much better.....works wonders and will always come off. I'm a dedicated RV user but I am going to try craft glue next to see how that goes and save a bit of money.?
