Hi all.  I am one of those who loves classical music, but hates the price tag of live performances.  If I had endless funds I’d be at the MSO every second week.  Alas, for example, I recall looking at tickets for our family of 5 to go to Star Wars with the MSO and the total cost was that of a really nice 2 channel stereo setup and change!

Anyway, as a lucky resident of the hipster-central inner north of Melbourne, a workmate put me onto a lovely small venue called “Temporo Rubato” in Brunswick.

They are a not-for-profit setup raising money for music lessons for newly immigrated kids.  Awesome.  They also have a very special 102 key Stuart&Sons Aussie grand piano.  Sweet!

So I took 2 of my kids to an arvo quartet.  Wow.  An intimate gig with 2 MSO muso’s and 2 on exchange from Indonesia.  It was free, and it was great!

I’m not affiliated in any way, but thought those here into classical (and even those just into great close-encounter music) should know about this place and support it!
