Item: Ariston RD-40 Turntable
Location: Bendigo (VIC)
Price: $500? OBO
Item Condition: VGC
Reason for selling: No longer needed
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info: Here I have a great example of the Ariston RD-40 Turntable. It has been stored away in its box for over 25yrs with basically no use prior to that.

I have given it a decent clean and she fires up perfectly. Dead quiet. Wouldn't hurt to purchase a new belt. The only real "wear", not that you can call it that,  is a bit of surface scuff on the alloy platter, but I think that would buff up well with some cream and a dremel.

Has the original box, weight and unused alignment tool. Does not include a tonearm.

Hopefully someone will find some good use for it.

Wow - I've never seen one of these!

Of course...been hidden for 25 years! ?

Looks very nice too now that the TT has come out of the box!...

That’s a good platform for anyone looking for a project.  A look on google images shows some funky ideas.  If I were able, I’d be tempted myself.
GLWTS!

Had one back in the 80's with an LVX on it.

That is a nice example. Sold and setup a few of these back in the day and serviced one here in Perth a couple of times. They can be a wee bit hard to setup for maximal performance but they are worth the effort. If anyone wants any advice please feel free to ask.
