PKay Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 (edited) Item: Kawasaki TG25 Brush cutter Price Range: small donation to SNA if happy Item Condition: Used but needs a fix to the fuel line Extra Info: My old brush cutter has 25cc of power and it is a great machine when running. My lawnmower shop did a service about a year ago and changed the fuel line which previously leaked a little but now leaks a lot more. If you have the skills to fix this then the brush cutter will be brilliant (an absolute beast with tonnes of power). They also put in a new head unit. This is pickup only from the lower north shore in Sydney. The last photo shows the new connection. Please don't forget to report your post as FOUND when possible. (You can now delete this text). Dean Gale Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 Hold onto it , I'll see if any of my Facebook friends want it rather than putting it into landfill.

There is no way this is going to landfill. It is way too good for that. Worst case I was going to give it to the lawnmower shop. Perhaps second time lucky for them.
soundbyte Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 As this was "repaired" and it is now in a dangerous condition I would be taking it back to whoever repaired it and ask what they would do about it? I believe that consumer affairs law now states that something should last for a "reasonable" time. How long did the original fuel line last? The new line should last at least a good portion of that time or longer and if dangerous, whoever "repaired" the fuel line should step up and fix it properly this time, no questions asked! I have family experience of burns they are no fun and in this state this device is a fire hazard, though fixable with careful repair.

I couldn’t be bothered with an argument over a 20 year old machine. I love the convenience of my new battery powered EGO so I won’t be going back to petrol.
