820mark820 Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 I just moved house and after re-setting everything up, the PVR is no longer finding any channels. I did a rescan and 'no channels found' . I swapped cables for a new CAT6 and still nothing. However using the same cable run direct from wall outlet to TV, TV's tuner reception is fine. If I run a cable via the PVR to the TV, the TV's tuner no longer receives a signal. Iv'e tried with a signal booster, no luck. Even if the PVRs tuner was dead, wouldnt the TV still recieve a signal for its own tuner? or would a dead PVR tuner prevent that? I moved the equiment myself, and it was only a couple of streets away, so I know that the PVR wasnt dropped or mishandled. I'm scratching my head to troubleshoot any further. Any suggestions please?
WolfieBoy Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 Hi - different tuner units have different sensitivity to incoming signals. That is an unfortunate fact of life. The TV works because most TV's can cope with much lower signal levels than Recorder units. Try the unit at a neighbours or friends place , just to ensure it works there. Then if it works at that location try a quality signal booster suitable for the transmission frequencies in your area. Then try a full scan again. Good luck Wolf.
