Getting my clicking finger ready.

Problem is Telstra NBN probably won't play ball

I don't think it'll make any difference unfortunately.

Last time I tried to buy tickets for a big gig (QOTSA I think)  I was in an instant after release and yes still missed out.

Last time I tried to buy Tool tickets in 2013 I was so frustated with the exercise I had a rant:

It's weird hey.

I have always managed to get tickets to things that have sold out instantly. But new house new net, I'm not sure

Not great news for those of us in Adelaide :(

I am surprised that Adelaide is being skipped, they have always sold out Adelaide shows easily, even Maynard owns a bloody house here.

How do you know Adelaide is being skipped? Have dates/venues been announced already and the countdown on that website means nothing?

Double J had an article about it on their website. No specific dates but they did mention Adelaide was skipped.

Confirmation!!

Great news to wake up to this morning,  and Melb is within a day of my bday so extra good for me.

A word of warning to anyone going,  they take the no camera policy very seriously.    I've seen a few people dragged out from the middle of GA section at past gigs.

It's been a LONG time since I've attended an arena tour but $180 per ticket seems a little excessive. Factoring in the additional, and by no means insignificant, travel/food/accomodation expenses it's unfortunately well far north of what I'm willing to pay, even for Tool. Hope everyone who gets to attend enjoys themselves ?

Yeah, I'm going get a ticket (or at least try).  But I'm not happy at paying $180 for a ticket.  It had better be a decent length show.  Pretty sure last time it was somewhere around $100 - $110?

Still, bring it on!

Definitely on  the high side but not enough to put me off going ;)

I just noticed there's cheaper tickets in reserved seating  (Rod Laver prices below).        I've had nosebleed tickets for a few gigs there and it's not too bad.

Ticket type Price
VIP Package $700.00
General Admission — Floor $178.50
Gold — Reserved Seating $178.50
Silver — Reserved Seating $143.50
Bronze — Reserved Seating $105.00

I’ve missed a few bands I really like because Rod Laver is such a let down for sound.

I ended up having a late lunch today, so didn't get back to the computer in time and by the time I could logon all the standing tickets were gone.

Just going to have to hope I can get a ticket on Friday.  Goddamnit.  I can't believe that happened.  I should have been back at work well before the sale time.  WHhhhhyyyyy?

Been so busy finishing off my house reno for sale, working, dadding. Completely didn't realise they already went on sale. And of course already sold.

Had another go at the general sale.  Man Ticketek is retarded.  Why does the timer not reset once you've made it to the payment page?  I was back and forth trying to get a GA ticket which were gone from the start.  Could only get dodgy seated tickets.  Kept trying.  After about 15 mins I managed to get a seat, tried to buy it, but it timed out before I could enter my CC details.  :emot-bang:  Which was probably lucky actually because I tried to again and got a GA ticket straight up.   Completely retarded process.

Everytime, I think about doing the same...  and then there I am at RL Arena.   I swear each time the sounds gets worse.   I actually have a group of mates going to Sydney for this show, perhaps I should have gone with them, hah.

Musician earplugs.   Essential.
