Administrator StereoNET Posted October 22, 2019 Administrator Posted October 22, 2019 The 2019 StereoNET Melbourne Hi-Fi Show is over, freight is en-route back to suppliers, and most are now home and recovering from an exhausting three (plus) days. The Stereonet Hi-Fi Show Australia for 2019 was a complete success. With record attendance across all three days, the smiles, the great questions being asked by attendees, the mix of young and old, and loads of couples and families, and finally the camaraderie shown by the industry and exhibitors, I'm proud to have delivered what many have told me is the best show in Australia by a long way. I'd like to say a sincere thank you to all of those involved, especially my wife Ness, who is just as much a part of this as I am, Robert Follis who well and truly picked up the pieces when I had my accident earlier this year, and my family and extended family who all play a role in this show's organisation and success. I'd also like to thank all those from StereoNET that have continued to support and attend our show, and I know many of you incur great expense travelling to do so. I'm taking a break from the organisation of shows in order to relieve an industry that's in many ways doing it tough. As an industry, we need to consider what is important for its continued success, how we promote our products, and to support those that are truly dedicated to the cause. I do hope that in the absence of our show in the potentially short term future, this is considered. Personally, it's been both rewarding and satisfying pushing ourselves beyond what we thought we were capable of and we are all so proud of what has been achieved. Now, these little Rushtons deserve more of my time ... Thanks for all your support. I've uploaded a gallery to Facebook you can see here - and in time, some coverage and more images should appear on StereoNET. 7 1
surprisetech Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Could only manage 3 hours on Saturday arvo this year, but still well worth the effort. (Specially with the Stereonet dinner added on that evening!) Great to hear attendance was up again. Numbers did look pretty good, but apart from a couple of rooms, did not feel crowded. Well done Marc and all the team on another great show. 1
Luc Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 WD Marc have a break of a different kind and see you in the future at some stage. With rest comes healing. Salami and red wine is what my doctor I prescribed last time I broke bits of me, worked wonders. Whispers about the place suggest Singapore might be the place for the next SNA HiFi Show, Hawker markets, beer with ice, very cheap airfares, group hotel bookings, exotica. Count me in. 2
