awayward Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 To all the SNA Motorsport and specifically Supercar fans, Happy Bathurst Day. Thought I’d start this topic for race comments. Go the Commodores, although it will be a tough task with the form of Scott McLaughlin and his bloody fast Mustang. Almost start time
sloper Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 l'll watch part of it, lost intrest in the Supertaxis. just not the same. Will go to the Historics at Sandown in a couple of weeks. Off to the garage to detail the Grp3. regards Bruce 1

Bugs Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 I've just about recovered from this this year's race. thought I'd just watch bits of it but once the flag dropped, I was hooked. Start to finish never left the tv apart from refreshment breaks... so much drama and pathos and 12 cars under the lap record might even go next year, been 4 years since the last visit Congrats to Scotty, it's always good to see the fastest driver win, even if he does drive for DJR 2
sloper Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 l am sure there are a number of protests in regards to team orders holding up the feild. l think DJR cheated to win. regards Bruce 1
Hytram Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 The last 1hr again was amazing.. The first 5hrs.. Meh If proven that was team orders that was given to #12 to slow down the field then both DJR cars should be retrospectively given a stop/go penalty.. #12 have served theirs already #17 should have it added to their time. Very unsportsmanlike 1
Tony ray Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 Great race, very fast pace. Red Bull will be regretting there decision to tell Whincup to go flat out then give up track position to pit on lap 151. Whincup must be feeling cursed. 1

I think the team decision to go flat out was a good one, the team stuffed up when he came in for fuel and better rubber wasn’t put on.

Guest Peter the Greek Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 (edited) Apparently the result is provisional until a hearing on the Gold Coast to determine the DJR/Penske behaviour during that safety care period......dodgy A strange race with the delayed start too. I thought the last hour was excellent viewing - typically is. The betting odds were funny. I looked up Reynolds at position 22? on the grid - only paying $9.5. There were some good moves from the back to the top 10 from the look of it. I wanted another Lowndes win....don't know why - I feel he behaves better than the younger guys (not unexpected I suppose). Cool to see Tander on the podium Edited October 14, 2019 by Peter the Greek
