F18 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 I don't recommend the EML 5u4g, they are microphonic and ring in a lot of psu solutions I've tried them in. For around the same money get a u52.

F18 Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 Personally I'd say all expensive rectifier tubes are overrated and make little to no difference in a good ps. I'd pick a rca or sylvania Jan mill spec rectifier rated for 7000 hrs and above for $40 over any fancy u52 or similar rectifiers and I own about a dozen branded u52's. The biggest issue with EML tubes is reliability. 1
