XLR Av processor and RCA multi channel amp

Recommended Posts

Hi,

i have a AV processor that has xlr out however the multi channel amp I am thinking of getting for surround channels have rca in.  Will there be any issues with this setup?

Also The other amp for centre and left/right has xlr in.  Having two different amps (one with xlr in and the other with rca) cause any issue in sound balance and quality?

TIA!

You will loose any advantage that comes from the dual differential (i.e. balanced)  signal processing and grounding. Also, you may have some ground-loop issues, but you should be fine (most likely).

The above is also correct. So if you can basically run as short a long as possible from AV to Amp you should be fine. E.g 1m
