Only came across the Neil Cowley Trio the other other week. Piano driven, but with hefty drum and bass when required. Kind of like Nils Frahm if occasionally someone put a rocket up him

Wow he looks like a grown up these days! I’ve hit several LPs . His hit was Mixed up Shook up Girl. A great stiff records sound.

Well, it’s Christmas!

 I’d never listened to this prior to today. I was actually a bit surprised at how many hymns are on it. I do like the African-American gospel sound on a couple of tracks.
